Sunday, the day of rest. The day many people recover from a busy week, and prepare for the week ahead. Most people I know who have a regular exercise routine use Sunday as a day to prep their meals, workout routines, and schedules for the week ahead. Sunday is so important that when I travel, I prefer to come home on Saturday, so I have Sunday to do my prep. When I don’t have the opportunity to do my Sunday prep, the whole week suffers.
So what is Sunday prep? For me, the best Sunday ever means that I go to bed with the house clean, groceries bought, yard work done, bills paid, laundry done, wardrobe for the week planned, meals planned, and some food prep prepared.
I don’t know why, but for some reason, everything I do seems to take so much longer when I am in a hurry in the morning. Picking out my clothes, deciding what to make for lunch, choosing whether or not I have time to make a smoothie, it all takes so much time, and makes my morning so much more stressful than if I had just taken a little time to prep on Sunday.
I’m so OCD that it even effects my sleep. If I haven’t done my Sunday prep, I’m likely to wake up at 3am Monday morning, stressing about the week ahead, and how unorganized, and out of control I feel. Today is Sunday, and it is already noon. Better go start prepping.
Have a great week y’all! 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration for the organizing tips because it does get hectic on mornings you are not prepared 🙂
